Great Job Opportunity For A Workshop Administrator In South Downs

We are a family run business repairing large vehicles (trucks, horseboxes, diggers, dumpers etc). We have our own barn workshop and a fleet of 12 service vans covering our on-site mobile repairs. The 12 mechanics are supported by a workshop manager and an admin team of 3 full time staff plus 2 part time staff. We are now urgently seeking a full time workshop administrator to support our workshop manager and be our customer liaison officer.

Due to impending retirement there are excellent opportunities for fast progression.

Your role will be to act as the primary contact point between customers and the workshop manager. You will liaise closely with the workshop manager.

Main responsibilities will be:

• To answer incoming calls (generally customers and suppliers)
• To liaise with customers discussing work required and time scale and update regularly
• Liaise with the workshop manager to book in new work / order parts
• Liaise with our purchase ledger controller regarding parts ordered
• Be the second point of contact with our team of mechanics, as required, to free up the workshop manager
• Assist the workshop manager in any way required
• Credit control and some filing will form part of your weekly tasks

• Excellent organisational skills to keep clear records and update systems, ensuring customer jobs are carried out in a timely manner
• A willingness to support any of the existing team to learn the various activities of a busy workshop and office
• The ability to work on your own on tasks that you have been trained in
• The flexibility to juggle your priority list as the day progresses and requirements change
• An interest in working for a small company where you can make a big impact
• The desire to see the business grow and to play you part in this growth

You will have the following skills:

• Excellent communication skills (you will liaise with suppliers, mechanics and customers)
• Strong IT skills (you will be using excel, word, Microsoft Outlook). Ideally you will be familiar with the Blue Crystal RFM garage management system and Quickbooks accounting system, although training can be given)
• A basic mechanical knowledge of plant machinery and HGVs
• Close attention to detail to ensure all systems are kept accurately updated
• Basic bookkeeping and social media/web hosting experience would be an advantage

Experience:

• Workshop or Office Administration and /or Account Assistant - 1 year (preferred but not essential)

Salary:

• £28,000 to £36,000 pro rata and to increase with growing

Experienced HGV Technician Working From Mobile Service Vans & Workshop Needed - Tillington, West Sussex, GU28 0RF

Agricom Commercial Mechanics Limited is a mechanical engineering company based in Petworth, West Sussex. Established in 2007, we provide specialist mobile and workshop based maintenance solutions to our clients. Our experienced HGV team looks after all types of commercial vehicles from light vehicles / 3.5T vans to 44T artics.

We are looking for experienced mechanics with at least 1 years’ experience of full-time repair and maintenance from vans to HGVs.

You must be punctual, organised, and self-motivated with a flexible attitude. Able to work independently or part of our team, enjoying the challenges of working in a sometimes, demanding environment.

Preferred Experience: Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs – with HGV emphasis

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

'Sociable' Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 4.30pm. Flexible working hours can be accommodated.

Competitive Salary: £18.00 - £21.00 per hour basic; dependent on experience. You have the opportunity to earn £42,000 - £50,000 yearly and above.
